Add ISD GSTIN

In Octa GST, the modules available for a company depend on the registration type selected while adding the GSTIN.

If you add a GSTIN as Regular, Octa enables the regular GST modules for that company. Additional GSTINs under the same PAN can then be added as regular registrations.

If the organization also has an ISD GSTIN under the same PAN, add it separately and select the registration type as ISD. Once the ISD GSTIN is added, the ISD module becomes available for GSTR-6 related work.

Add an ISD GSTIN

  1. Go to the company creation or GSTIN addition screen.
  2. Enter the ISD GSTIN details.
  3. Select ISD as the registration type.
  4. Save the company or GSTIN.
  5. Open the newly added ISD company to access the GSTR-6 workflow.

If the ISD GSTIN is added with the exact same company name as an existing company, Octa may show a company already exists error. In that case, create a separate company entry for the ISD GSTIN and use a slightly different company name, such as adding ISD to the name.
